Our Story
The Secure the Bag Tour (STBT) is the sister company to premiere nonprofit, HBCU Heroes. The tour is the brainchild of STBT CEO Tracey Pennywell, who created the online Secure the Bag series during COVID to offer career development and corporate networking to HBCU students and young alum during the pandemic.
Our Mission
The Secure the Bag online series in partnership with HBCU Heroes was a vital hub, connecting with over 20,000 HBCU Gen Zers annually to provide programming to help secure lucrative careers, decrease the wealth gap & build generational wealth.
What We Do
Today, the STBT is an annual hybrid tour that provides:
- Financial literacy workshops
- Career development webinars
- Celebrity/athlete fireside chat
- Fin-lit tool kits
- C-suite leadership sessions
- Speed networking events
- Scholarships
- Career readiness resources
- Edutainment and more
